Pink Weekend

Hi All...I Love this weather of sweaters, warm knits, hot chocolates ,festivals and rich food. Last weekend was my first thanksgiving and i admire how people often use the three-day weekend to visit their family or friends who live far away, or receive them in their own homes. Many people also prepare a special meal to eat at some point during the long weekend. Traditionally, this included roast turkey and seasonal produce, such as pumpkin etc..

We were also invited by our close friends and they prepared lots of delicious stuff ,i really enjoyed the get together and  the food specially ;)

Well, this is my first OOTD(Outfit of the day) post and i wanted to wear something that adds warmth and screams fall ,for this lovely occasion. Also needs to be comfy and casual  so i choose light colors (neutral and baby pink ) and also kept the make up light with bronze eye palette and nude pink lip color . Also for nails i choose baby pink color.

Find your "Place of Yes"

 Celebrate yourself every single day..!!

In our lives its really easy to find the place of negativity and hide ourselves in it . Whenever we are alone ,no one is their to share problems ,things are not good at work ,relations are not going smooth ,everything is going wrong, we often go to a "Place of No".But ,we forgot the things we have in our hand, the people who love us and care about us .Instead we feel sad and depressed about those who don't even bother about how we feel.We are the only one who could wipe our tears and pull our self out of that situation and no one else.Cherish the things you have ,life is too short to think about the bad..Care for those who care for you..

If its your work ,you can always start it all over again and ignore those who distract and discourage you or take it this way ..they are jealous of you ,so next time give them a winked smile and leave them scratching ears B-) .For those who are angry, they are not happy and just taking out their frustration so keep calm ,if they are your own give them a hug and if not than ignore ;)

But if its you who are totally left out and there is nothing to be happy for..dont worry, talk to your heart and say nothing can be much worse than this and everything is gonna be fine after this ..If you want those flowers and if you feel like those flowers will make you feel better, go buy yourself some flowers - don't wait around for someone else to bring you happiness.Say yes to the things you love..

Remember that people will come in and out of your life, but the only person who will always be there, is YOU..

So make yourself happy first ,others will feel happy around you themselves :)

That's how you find your "Place of Yes"

DIY No Sew Hair bow :)

Hi girls, fabric hair bows are seen everywhere these days and I also kind of liked them coz they look really cute on hair .I have seen girls wearing them on fish braid ,top bun ,on a headband and in many different looks..so i thought to give it a try and make a DIY (Do it yourself) Project on them using the old t-shirts/jeans or other fabric  :)
Its quite easy .. You need a fabric,pair of scissors,fabric glue .

Follow these simple steps :

  • Take a rectangular piece of fabric(I took my old denim jeans cutout piece) of 12*7 inch and another piece of same fabric of 4*1 inch( I took different fabric in one bow).
  • Fold it as shown in image 2 & 3 below (that is two folds ).
  • You will then get a rectangular piece of 2.3 inches around(You can take big cloth depending upon the bow size you want.)
  • Now fold the piece from the left side inwards( image 4) and similarly the right one over left(as shown in image 5)
  • Make sure that the right fold should be little bigger than the left fold.
  • To make the things easier iron the fabric piece so it sits in place .
  • Now squeeze the fabric piece from middle (image 6)and wrap the 4*1 inch piece around it (image 7.)
  • Glue the piece or sew it ,leaving a little hole to put the bobby pin inside (image 8).

Use different colors and pattered fabric pieces .

Add some sequin/lace or studs to make it your own statement bow :) why not give it a try ..
do share with me down below ..take care

Spice it up ..

Indian Food

Panner Tikka

I love this dish ..its easy to prepare ;) ,take less effort and usually treated as a starter dish in Indian weddings .. :)
Indian food is all about spices and strong taste..Paneer tikka is basically marinated paneer or cottage cheese cubes, grilles in oven or tandoor .It tastes amazing with coriander and mint chutney .

Lets Begin with marination :
In a bowl take
  • 2-3 tbsp yogurt or thick curd.
  • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste or crushed ginger garlic
  • 1 tsp ajwain/carom seeds
  • 2 to 3 tsp kashmiri red chili powder
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp jeera powder/cumin seeds powder
  • 1 tsp dhania powder/coriander powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala powder
  • 1 tsp amchur powder/dry mango powder
  • 1 tsp chaat masala
  • juice of half lemon
  • 1 to 2 tbsp oil or ghee or butter for brushing
  • Salt

Add all the stuff together

and mix it well

now dice the veggies in small cubes :
  • Paneer
  • Red/Yellow/green capsicum
  • Onion

and add them in marinade

Now keep them in refrigerator for 2 or more hours.I kept them overnight .

After they are marinated , Place them in skewer or toothpicks and keep them in oven for 20-25 minutes flipping in between and serve them hot :)

I swear guys ...do try it ..its finger licking good :)

Malala , A Courageous young girl

Hi All.. Last night i saw the documentary on how this Pakistani teenager dared to defy the Taliban and  survived a horrifying assassination attempt turning into a symbol of bravery and a campaigner for girls’ education, telling the United Nations last month to send books and pens, rather than tanks, to troubled parts of the world.

Her autobiography, I Am Malala.. (The title is a strong answer to the Taliban gunman who boarded a school bus last Oct. 9, asking “Who is Malala?” before shooting her in the head). She is the youngest activist nominated for the Noble Prize. Its Amazing how she pulled herself back after that life threatening incident ,how an an ordinary girl become an inspiration to so many girls ,and women in different parts of the world surviving under brutal circumstances. She is the perfect example of "Women Power ". An Inspiration to us..to all..

You can watch her interviews HERE

I Think she is a totally worth of being rewarded with a Noble Prize for her courage and Outstanding contribution for welfare of women's education.

DIY SOCK BUN

Hey Girlies.. Hope everyone is having a good start to the week.
I tried out this large top knot, bejeweled, bun sometime back using one of my pins. You can use the Donut band bun too..The donut bun used can be small or large in size. Mine here gives the look of large donut however I have used the sock to make a donut. I love this bun! Literally takes under 5 minutes to put this together, and glams up your look instantly.

If you want to learn how to do a similar top bun, watch this link Here..
A nice and easy way to stay stylish in those sweaty summer days and chilly winters to keep the hair secured. You can even add a headband to pull the look more..:)

Everyone is Special and so you are..!

You all know somewhere that you are unique and special in your own way but sometimes don't realize it...

Have you guys experienced this , I certainly have  I remember having to give presentations in class, and I'd sometimes get pretty nervous and choke up a little, but then as my papa used to tell me and I'd literally tell myself "I am a great public speaker!" (lol even if I'm not, it just makes you feel so much better and really gets your through it!  Actually..!!

When we have positive thoughts, our mind and our actions follow accordingly.

"The mind is everything. What you think, you become."
- Buddha

If you say, "I suck at doing work/makeup/playing sports/cooking" or "I can never be healthy" or "Bad things always happen to me" or "I am not confident" - then that is what you're brain is going to function by.
This quote basically sums up the idea of "You are what you think"

If you say "I can be healthy", "I am confident" - you're brain is going to go by what you say. Make sense? And notice how good it feels to say that - I am strong! I am confident! I am beautiful! I am smart! I am special! Good things happen to me! (Even if you don't fully believe it now, and it's almost like you're 'lying' to yourself, keep repeating it until you feel it coming naturally.)

So, Dig deep down in yourself and find what's that special thing about you that motivates you today
